Wet and Wild- Hamelin Bay April 2023

Just a short video this time. Over the April school holiday we went down to Hamelin Bay at teh Hamelin Bay caravan Park which is half way between Margaret River and Augusta. Two ocans meet here, the Indian and the Southern. The weather was quite wild and wet with storms rolling through over the four days. Our tent and gazebo stood up well and were nice and dry.. We quite enjoyed listening to the rain and wind, as long as we were warm and dry! Unfortunately, we were not yet allowed to have any campfires, but with the amount of wind we had that might have been a good thing anyway.

We got to visit with my Sister's family and eat at a great French Bakery in Metricup "Maison Lassiaille", which was out of this world (Thanks Jules for the tip).

Some of you might know that we had a great total eclipse here in WA and the best site was at the northwest town of Exmouth, where thousands of visitors from all over the world (including NASA scientists) came to watch. I watched it in Perth were we had 75% coverage.

I hope you are all keeping safe where ever you are. Try to get out in nature whenever you can and cleanse the soul for a few days or hours.....
